Eng. Ghada Darwish

Ghada holds a BSC in Mechanical Engineering from the American University in Cairo, and is currently a consultant of SECI Energia (Gruppo Maccaferri – Italy) acting as Country Head and board member of Enara Renewable Energy Services Co. (Egyptian co. specialized in construction of renewable energy projects active in Egypt and other African countries)

Ghada is an entrepreneur and a senior advisor with 20 years experience in development of public and private energy and industrial projects working with international investors and EPC contractors (sugar, energy/ renewable energy and chemicals). In addition, Ghada has more than 10 years experience as government relations and communications expert serving investors and international donor funded projects (EU, USAID and UN Agencies), and specialised in energy, environment, water treatment and different industrial sectors.

In 2009, Ghada participated in the Fortune/ US State Dept Most Powerful Women Mentoring program (mentored by Exxon Mobil VP for a month in the US), in 2015, Ghada was selected one of Top50 Women shaping the Egyptian Economy and during 2010-2015 was board member and vice chairman of the Egyptian Junior Business Association EJB. She is currently the secretary general of Benban Solar Energy Developers Association (1.6GW solar park in Egypt developed by 17 top international renewables companies) and also board member of Egyptian Independent Power Producers Association representing the solar energy sector.
