Eng. Amal Mobadda

Amal Mobadda is currently the Fundraising Director at Misr El Kheir Foundation. After graduating from Cairo University as a Civil Engineer, Amal set her first professional steps in her field of Engineering in Egypt. Ever since, she has had more than 25 years of professional experience in many areas like teaching, project management, administration and NGOs.

From 1996 to 2006, Amal moved to Copenhagen, Denmark where she quickly grasped the Danish language and was later able to get a full time job at the Danish Ministry of Education. When she came back to Egypt in 2006, she pursued her old career of Engineering which later on she switched and focused on being the Executive Assistant to the Egyptian Banking Institute MD. Two years later she became the Facilities Manager of the Institute.

Starting 2011, she made a complete shift of her career when she was offered a job as National Director for Special Olympics Egypt. For 4 years, she helped shine a light on Special Olympics Egypt and all children with Intellectual Disabilities, ending this great victory with a nation-wide celebration attended by Egypt’s President El Sisi.

Currently, she works with Misr El Kheir, where she helps raise funds and donations for their given causes while at the same time she’s the current first Chairman for the Egyptian Sports Council of Intellectual Disabilities. When she is not working, Amal likes to read and spend time with her family.
